S先生：完全な間違いではありませんが、好ましくないポイントがいくつかあるので指摘しておきましょう。第2文の It＋strike＋人＋that ～「突然～という考えが湧いた」という構成だと思いますが、ここではちょっと違う気がします。主節はもっと簡潔に He was unable to accept that he must lie in bed alone くらいで充分でしょう。それに続く for の節ですが、これは難しいところ。このままでも分かりますが、譲歩を加味して while を使うと「女はたくさんいるのに」という感じになってさらに良いと思います。mortification「無念」という抽象名詞を使った第3文は締まっていて良かった。wide-awake という形容詞がよく効いています。第4文の north side は単に north だけでよいでしょう。第8文の the good-looking boy who appeared just now in the conversation はなかなか気の利いた言い回しに見えますが、話に出たのであって姿を現したわけではないので、the good-looking boy who became the talk in the conversation としてはどうでしょうか。第9文の I wonder if I might ask where you were. はちょっと丁寧すぎるので、簡潔に May I ask where you are ? としましょう。第11文の actually は少しくどいので除外するほうがよいでしょう。
