古文研究法149-2 古今集より：年の内に春は来にけり一年(ひととせ)を去年(こぞ)とやいはむ今年とやいはむ
まだ年内なのに立春が来てしまった。同じ年なのに、それを去年と呼んだらよいのか、それとも、今年と呼んだらよいのか。
N君：太陰暦の場合こういうことがあったようです。すなわち、ある年の初めに通常の立春があり、年末になって再び立春が来る、という。その場合、年末の立春に居る作者は、今年一年を振り返って「今日は去年なのか今年なのか？」と悩んでいるわけです。
The begining of spring on the lunar calender has come before the last day of the year. I don't know whether today is in the last year or in this year.
S先生：第1文末にある the last day of the year は New Year's Eve とも言えますね。
It is still within the year, but the first day of spring has come．Should we call today New Year's Eve or New Year's Day ?
